A one of a kind Digital Marketing Internship + Mentorship Program by Digital Deepak to create an army of skilled and competent professionals in digital marketing.
We all know the value of digital literacy in our lives and there’s no denying to the fact that digital is here to say. Be it any form of business, going digital is a step forward to tap the territory to expand your foothold. With that in mind, we all want to extract the best of it with limited investment to do, right? We do our research on the basics of digital marketing, how its important to what we’re doing or are interested to do and bam- we’ve got it all sorted. But, once we do go to the internet, we are flooded with the plethora of information available to us, so much so that it overwhelms us and ultimately we succumb to the same digital sphere we came to conquer. And at such a time we realize the importance of a knowledgable, motivated expert who’ll guide us through to claim our digital mission.
And that is exactly how I came across
I came across Digital Deepak last year as I was determined to revive my blog. I had opted for the 25 free videos on digital marketing that he’d put up to get started with. The information was so motivating that I went on to purchase the 100-days blogging course. I actually went on and converted my free Blogspot website into a paid blog on WordPress and purchased my domain from GoDaddy and hosting from SiteGround. I cannot deny, I followed the videos for a month religiously, but my other venture as an eCommerce seller on Amazon.in – Nima’s Collection occupied nd saturated me. So much so that I completely forgot about the blogging course I’d purchased. But I still kept following Digital Deepak through the regular e-mail updates and facebook group he’d post about and would occasionally implement those on my blog.
I was scrolling through my email when I came across a pop-up from him and the content intrigued me. The program, a one of a kind internship where Deepak and PixelTrack co-founder, Sanjay Shenoy, would mentor, guide and provide expertise on how to become better at the sphere of digital marketing. My trust had already been built on him as a brand because of the valuable information that was provided via the free-videos. I was apprehensive whether or not I should sign-up for the program since it would be paid, but the grip of my fears seemed to ease with the regular e-mail update regarding the benefit of this internship. I took it as a sign – a much-needed sign – to finally oxygenate my dormant blog.
So I took a plunge- I signed up for the course and here I am today, feeling very enthusiastic because I get a chance to be a student again! The feeling of completing the task assigned on deadline, interacting with fellow-mates and a chance to work on practical cases! But above all, it is because I trust Deepak and his team a lot whose mission, I believe, is greater than just for commercial purposes.
My insight on the first class of Digital Marketing Internship:
So, today marks the first class of the three-month due internship and mentorship program. The format of education and communication is interesting because we’re learning through webinars and polls- being digital in every way! A poll was conducted to get an overview of the background of the students and we know that most of us are beginners. Since digital means global, we’re introduced with the theory of global economics and its impact on businesses.
Communication is the key
Communication is important for any business, be it offline or online.
Hence we’re repeatedly told to improve our communication skills because until we develop the most essential skills, it is difficult to implement others. We’re tasked to read books, write more, listen to podcasts and watch web-content. Because, the better we communicate the most complex ideas and information in the easiest way possible, the better our chances get in digital marketing.
Integrated Digital Marketing
So once we’re in tune to hone our communication skills, we need to understand the nitty-gritty about digital marketing. Digital marketing is an enormous subject area which includes (but are not limited to): Content marketing, e-mail marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), social media marketing, paid advertisements which will eventually sell and convert. – This diaspora creates what is called Integrated Digital Marketing.
Niche Selection
Once we’re aware of that, we’re to select a niche, i.e.- a topic/genre which interests us. The niche could range from anything under the sun(and the universe!) of which have an idea, inclination and passion about.
Research, Research and Research
Once a niche is selected, we’re to select do a market survey/research whether the niche actually has any demand. Then comes keyword researching. Internet is bestowed with many paid and free tools like Adwords Keyword Tool, UberSuggest, Answer the Public, Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, Search Console, KeywordTool.io and many more which helps us to know whether there’s a market opportunity for that niche. Once that’s done, we should study the market by searching what other people are searching on the web. For that, we ought to use Google Trends.
I’m super excited to begin this journey because this is how we do in the 21st century: learn and implement yourself.
Nice write up about the first session. Enjoyed reading the summary. I have also enrolled for the same. 🙂
